About Us

The From the Heart online bookstore is an extension of our ministry. From the Heart Church Ministries ® is a local church located in Suitland, Maryland. From the Heart is a loving church where Jesus Is Lord! with an emphasis on teaching the uncompromised Word of God. We firmly believe that the teaching and preaching of God's Word is extremely important to the personal enrichment and development of the believer. At From the Heart, the sermons and teaching series taught have an emphasis on lifting up the name and example of Jesus as well as a "how to" component. Our members are taught to apply the teachings of God's Word so that they can know how to live godly lives, glorifying God in every area of their lives.

From the Heart was established in 1981 by Dr. John A. Cherry (1940-2019) and Diana Cherry, our founding spiritual parents. The church and teaching ministry were established with a mission to" seek and save that which is lost" by raising up a church that loved God, hated sin, and loved to give. Today this church is pastored by Bishop John A. Cherry, II and has over 24,000 members. The church is large but there is a loving family atmosphere that exists in our ministry. From the Heart is filled with families, men, women, young adults, children and God-fearing people that have a desire to be excellent in their Christian character and conduct. The congregation at From the Heart is a family of believers with a heart to live according to God's Word and to minister to His people. The weekly Sunday Worship Service and Tuesday Night Bible Study are streamed live around the world with thousands tuning in to watch.
